What we collect
Only what you write to us. The request form collects your first and last name, your email, your phone number if you give it, the dates and the number of guests if you specify them, the chalet in question, the subject if you pick one, the municipality of your chalet if you are an owner, and your message. Nothing else is asked, and no field is filled in for you.
We also keep the date and time of your consent, to prove it was given. Your IP address is not recorded: to limit automated submissions, the form has a hidden field that only bots fill in, and the site counts submissions for ten minutes using an irreversible fingerprint of the address, never the address itself.
Why
To reply to you: to check availability, give you a total price and organize your stay. If you are an owner writing to us about the management of your chalet, we use your information to assess your request and call you back.
We do not sell any information, we do not trade any, and we do not sign you up for any newsletter you did not ask for.
How long
Requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted after twenty-four months. Files tied to a booking are kept for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require, then deleted.
Who has access
Our team, and the providers that keep the service running: the site’s host, the email delivery service and our booking system. Each one has access only to what it needs. Some of these providers process data outside Québec; we make sure they offer equivalent protection before entrusting them with anything.
What we do not store
Each chalet’s page shows its exact location on a map. The street address is not recorded on this site: it is sent to you with directions after confirmation.
No credit card number passes through this site or is stored on it. Payments are made in our booking system or on the platform where you booked.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and does not track you from site to site. The area maps display tiles provided by OpenStreetMap: your browser downloads them directly, which transmits your IP address to that service, without any cookie or identifier.
Guest reviews
The reviews reproduced on this site were published by their authors on the booking platform named under each one, with the first name, the profile photo and, where the platform showed it, the town they display there. We reproduce them without editing them and without removing the less favourable ones. If you wrote one of these reviews and would like your photo or your review taken off this site, email us: we will remove it, no questions asked.
Your rights
You can ask to see your information, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent. You can also ask to receive your information in a usable electronic format. Email us and we will reply within thirty days.
If our reply does not satisfy you, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Requests about your personal information are handled by the person in charge of the protection of personal information at Chalets Naturo, who can be reached by email and by phone using the details on the Contact page.
This policy is an accurate description of how the site works. It must be reviewed by legal counsel before the site goes live, and the name of the person in charge of the protection of personal information must be added to it.
